One of the most important digital transformation initiatives in Lithuania’s construction sector has been launched – the competition “Lithuanian BIM Projects 2026.” It is being organised for the eleventh time by the public institution Skaitmeninė statyba together with the Lithuanian Builders Association (LSA).
Purpose of the Competition
The competition aims to identify the country’s most advanced projects and companies that professionally and strategically apply Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies in the fields of design, construction, and infrastructure.
BIM – From Innovation to Standard
Over the past decade, BIM in Lithuania has evolved from an optional tool into a competitive standard. Each year, more companies integrate BIM into their business processes, and projects developed by Lithuanian specialists successfully compete on international markets.
“The competition ‘Lithuanian BIM Projects’ is a place where engineering competence and organisational maturity truly stand out. Here, companies not only showcase their capabilities but also strengthen their reputation among clients and partners. We clearly see the sector’s growth – Lithuanian specialists’ projects are valued both domestically and internationally. Participation in the competition can become an important springboard for new contracts and enhance an organisation’s innovative image,”
says Dalius Gedvilas, President of LSA and Chairman of the Competition Jury.
Throughout the competition’s history, nearly 250 private and public project applications have been submitted – a solid portfolio showcasing Lithuania’s progress in construction digitalisation, technology adoption, and innovation.
